I am so so so excited to share with you the link to the podcast I did last Sunday with the delightful Lilycat! I had so so so much fun talking about Body Positivity, life, being Curvy, and, of course, performing my poetry. And she starts the podcast with one of my most favorite songs ever.
It was my first podcast, my first interview, my first time in a radio studio, and I was so worried about what I was going to say for TWO Whole Hours that I invited Chrystal Bougon to join me for the last 1/2 hour. Chrystal is owner of Curvy Girl Lingerie and the co-producer of the upcoming Plus Life TV show (for which I was *ahem* interviewed and snuck in a poem to boot: I Do Not Understand This New World Where Everything I Want is OK). It was a smart move on my part because Chrystal is fun and knowledgable and a great addition to the interview.
In the end the time flew by and I had a great time, and was invited back! (no date yet, but I’ll let you know). True confessions — I have been too scared to listen to it myself, but I’ve had a couple of people tell me it sounds fabulous.
Lilycat started by calling me “The Curvy Poet” and I’m thinking of using that going forward, as I move into an active life as a poet and body positive activist. What do you think?
